Krazy Beaver Tools was established October of 2013 and was originally based in the Albuquerque NM.  The origin of Krazy Beaver Tools starts with the owner, Jason, who at the time was working in a specialized unit within the Albuquerque Police Department known as Open Space.  Open Space was responsible for patrolling the Mountain Range, Rio Grande Valley and the mesa west of Albuquerque to include the Petroglyph National Park.  Open Space also included the Dive Team and was responsible for handling a wide range of calls for service to include Search and Rescue Calls throughout the Metro Area and the state of NM.  Jason was also a Search Team Manager, K9 Handler and Boat Team Manager for FEMA.

It was during his time working vast calls for service he realized the need for a professional dedicated Off-Road shovel.  Unbeknownst to him, he would be releasing the shovel at the beginning of a craze that would be known as “Overlanding”.

For those not familiar with the Krazy Beaver shovel we challenge you to look at it in person.  You will immediately see the difference between the Krazy Beaver shovel and a standard shovel!

The Lock Pins:

The Tab Lock Pins are awesome!  The “Tab” makes it easy to attach or remove from the shovel even if you’re wearing work gloves.  In addition to being easy to use, these pins are easy to find when accidentally dropped in the sand or mud, unlike a two-piece pin that has a separate pin and wire.

Now more than a decade later, Krazy Beaver Tools has withstood all the manufacturing challenges of COVID and continues to provide a top-notch professional grade rescue shovel for those that dare to “Travel the roads less traveled.”
