For overlanders, communication can become even more important as cell service fades and the route gets farther from pavement. Whether keeping a convoy together, navigating obstacles, or coordinating around camp, a high-power GMRS mobile radio gives drivers a reliable way to stay connected when it matters most. The new Midland® MXT295 PRO 15-Watt MicroMobile® GMRS Two-Way Radio takes that communication further with a Fully-Integrated Wireless Bluetooth® Microphone, 15 Watts of high-power GMRS performance, and a compact hideaway design made for life on the trail.

At the center of the MXT295 PRO is Midland’s first Fully-Integrated Wireless Bluetooth® Microphone. Instead of tethering the driver to the radio unit with a microphone cable, the wireless mic provides cable-free communication up to 100 ft from the base unit. For overlanders, that freedom extends communication beyond the driver’s seat. Users can stay connected while spotting a vehicle through an obstacle, walking around camp, checking the trail ahead, or coordinating a recovery.

That wireless freedom is backed by 15 Watts of high-power GMRS performance. Compared to traditional handheld radios, the MXT295 PRO delivers 3 times the power, giving overlanders a powerful communication tool when traveling beyond the reach of reliable cell service. Whether vehicles are spread out along the trail or the group is moving through remote terrain, its high-power GMRS performance helps keep communication at the center of adventure.
The MXT295 PRO also gives groups more ways to communicate. It offers up to 99 channels, including 22 standard GMRS channels, 28 channels with pre-programmed privacy codes, and 8 GMRS repeater channels. With 154 privacy codes, split privacy tones, and repeater capability, users have expanded options to customize communication for their journey.

Just as important for an overlanding build is how the radio fits in the vehicle. With navigation equipment, switch panels, auxiliary controls, and other gear already competing for space, keeping the vehicle organized matters. The MXT295 PRO offers a hideaway base unit that can be mounted out of the way, while the wireless microphone eliminates another cable from the dash. A 12 V power cord with DC vehicle adapter makes for a plug-and-play installation.
The MXT295 PRO’s IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating helps prepare the MXT295 PRO for the dirt, dust, and changing weather that can come with travel beyond the pavement. NOAA Weather Radio brings life-saving alerts to the most off-grid adventures, giving its users the time needed to seek shelter and safety.
Other features include PA functionality, Bluetooth accessory compatibility, automatic noise cancelation to block out background noise, a wired intercom jack, and more.
Combining wireless freedom with 15 Watts of high-power GMRS performance, the MXT295 PRO gives overlanders a simple, space-conscious way to build reliable communication into their rigs and stay connected wherever adventure takes them.
